How will a forecast update affect different routes?
Whilst we can monitor RWIS stations and compare observations against forecast at these stations, this is not possible along the RBF route. Any changes at the RWIS station locations will affect the RBF forecasts within the area, but as it is a dynamic process, it is not possible to say by how much the RSTs
When asked why the RWIS station forecast is different to the RBF forecast, for that point:

Why the RBF is different to the domain forecasts?
The traditional domain forecasts on RoadMaster are powered by the RWIS station forecasts within those domains, and simply reflect the ‘worst case’ from those stations. The RBF is dynamic, with much higher resolution, and so can pick out warm/cold spots along the route which cannot be determined by simply using a few RWIS station forecasts.
